We are a vibrant church in the South Oshawa Community. Reaching out to our neighbors and their families to make sure no one misses the opportunity to hear the message of Jesus Christ and his gift of saving Grace!
Emmanuel Baptist Church exists to:
Lead people to the saving Grace of Jesus Christ.
Integrate people into a caring family of faith.
Teach people to walk closely with our God.
Equip people to serve God with their lives.
The church is God's hands and feet in this world -
the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12-27). We
are to be doing the things that Jesus Christ would
do if He were here physically on the earth. The
church is to be "Christ-like", "Christian" and
WHAT TO EXPECT:
HOW SHOULD I DRESS?
There is no specific dress code at Emmanuel Baptist Church for those attending. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in anything from casual denim to business-casual to more traditional "Sunday" dress. Our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable during your visit here!
WHERE DO MY CHILDREN GO WHEN I GET THERE?
We have both children and youth programs available at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Because the safety of your children is of utmost importance, all ministry workers go through background checks and receive training.
When you arrive, please visit with our greeters and we will have someone there to help you find the appropriate group for your kids.
We also have a nursery for the youngest children who attend.
Children 4yrs and up will join you for worship in the main auditorium and then will be dismissed to their program during the service.
HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE?
We suggest that you arrive 20 minutes prior to the service. This will allow you to park and check in with our greeters. Our worship service on Sunday mornings are at 11:00am.
DO I NEED A BIBLE?
If you own a Bible you will want to bring it. Our pastor refers to it often – and we encourage you to use it as your life-textbook.
Our pastor teaches from the New King James Version Bible (NKJ). If you have another version you are used to or prefer, bring it along. The differences from version to version are mostly minor. Having a NKJ will simply make it easier to follow along when our pastor reads or points out the wording in a particular verse or passage.
